The quality of production or service of an organisation largely depends on the quality of its Human Resources (HR). HR, also known as personnel or employees, are a valuable resource to an organization because it is through the HR that organizational strategies are delivered.

Organisations including educational institutions exist and operate in a complex political, economic, social and technological environment which is always changing. It, therefore, requires effective Human Resource Management (HRM) for an organisation to achieve its objectives and successful performance.

The vision of this programme is to produce people who are equipped with relevant knowledge and skills in HRM for organizational success and survival in a changing environment.

Admission Requirements

The regular UCU requirements for admission to Programmes apply. Specifically, candidates admitted to the programme must be holders of one of the following:

  1. an honours degree in Education (BED) or BAED/Bsc Ed from a recognized university or institution of higher learning
  2. an honours Ba/Bsc degree with a Diploma in Education from a recognized university or institution of higher learning
  • an honours BA/Bsc degree with a Post Graduate Diploma in Education (PGDE) from a recognized university or institution of higher learning
  1. an honours degree in any other field other than education from a recognised university or institution of higher learning
  2. He/she must also have passed both written and oral interviews conducted by UCU

Duration of the Programme

The Programme is offered for a minimum of two years and a maximum of five years. The programme shall be structured either in course units or modules.
