Welcome to the School of Education at Uganda Christian University! The School of Education aims to develop professionals who are fit-to-purpose in the 21^st century. Through the Departments of Education and Languages and Literature, the units of Uganda Studies Programme and Honours College, students are empowered to serve in the various areas of specialisation with diligence, excellence and professional distinction. This because we believe that every learner has the capacity to excel gives that opportunity. All our curricula are tailored towards a hands-on training using up-to-date pedagogical and andragogical approaches, which enables our students to thrive in both national and international schools.

The School prides in undertaking research in Educational Administration and Management, Curriculum Design and Development, Pedagogy and Andragogy, Languages, Literary and cultural studies as well as Library and Information Science. The overall aim is to train students who will become successful problem-solving practitioners in local and global communities.

The School also runs a sustained Continuous Professional Development (CPD) via tailor-made activities while the UCU writing center facilitates students and staff of the entire UCU community to upscale their writing skills. The School of Education should be your preferred choice for your intellectual, academic and professional career growth.
